2022 Alte Reben Kabinett feinherb

The ungrafted vines are around 50 years old and deeply rooted in the grey slate soil. Situated in a relatively high and windy location, this vineyard on Traben’s Königsberg is distinguished by its especially long growing season. Low yields as a result of the age of the vines, together with the influence of the long growing and maturation period, always result in richly nuanced, complex wines. The 2021 off-dry Riesling with subtle fruit sweetness is youthful in terms of both colour and nose, and already reveals its potential – though this will surely develop fully only after a period of bottle maturation.
