The Trabener Konigsberg extends above the town of Traben-Trarbach. Exposed is the moderately rising slope towards south to south-southeast. The name of the location is derived from the French fortress "Mont Royal", which was once located on the plateau of the mountain.
In the eastern part of the vineyard location, the soil consists of heavily weathered slate with proportions of fine sand, which the Moselle river once deposited at this point. The western part is characterized by slate soil with higher clay content and better water storage capacity.
Filigree, delicate fruity wines with a solid acid are characteristic for that vineyard.
